BILL KING, trumpeter, was raised in Denton, Texas.  Both his parents played in bands in Jr. High and High School and it was his father who gave Bill his Calvary bugle and his own coronet to play, which he still has.  Bill attended N. Texas State University where he studied Jazz Education before he left school to play on the road and eventually ended up in Las Vegas in 1985.

Bill is a freelance artist and has played with many different people, in particular with Al Martino’s band.  Al Martino was known for singing the God Father theme and was in the movie as well.  Bill has played in many of the lounges of Las Vegas and in lots of different productions, such as the Playboy’s Girls of Rock N Roll at the Maxim Hotel.

Currently, Bill is taking part in Vegas, the Show and freelances in some of the orchestras that back many of the various shows that come to Las Vegas.  In addition, he plays at various parties and events that are offered in the valley.
