In August 2012 MERCEDES WARRICK was writing in her journal when her hand started moving through “Spirit.”

“Your work will be artistic and creative.”
“It brings beauty and insight into the world.”
“I AM Spirit.  I AM Spirit’s Voice.  Inspiration flows through me.”
“What is coming is beyond your perception and ability to believe.”

It was only two months later that Mercedes began painting through Spirit, meditation and prayer, and because of this divine collaboration, Mercedes signs each painting 1+1 = 3.

Art is a dynamic force that is sensual, healing, provocative, tolerant, respectful, stimulating, visual and emotional. Mercedes believes that each interaction creates a new ripple. It is a consummation, a coupling. This is why when we meet each other through art, we have the ability to elevate the levels of peace and creativity in this world.

“My paintings bless me every time I pick up a paint brush. It is my belief that as you experience each piece of my work, you will feel life, energy, healing, and your divinity. I hope my paintings move you to experience a coupling with your inner places and know that the world has been changed by this encounter.”

The State of Our womb is her current series.  It is a socio- spiritual excavation of the differing stages of womb-man-hood.  This series of four paintings include a lifetime evolution of Mercedes’ womb experiences and healing.  There are four signature paintings, each with its own audio and written commentary.  Emergence, the first painting in the series, was juried into the Women’s Work exhibit at the Tarnoff Gallery in Pecos, New Mexico, and the entire series can be seen on Mercedes’ website.  Future collaborations will expand into an exhibit and solo show with commentaries and artwork inspired by others’ womb experiences.

Mercedes’ art has been shown in the Laguna Gallery of Contemporary Art, Laguna Beach, California and the Tarnoff Gallery in Pecos, New Mexico.   She was a featured artist for the Art of Women Foundation’s annual exhibit in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Mercedes is also a Studio Artist (On-Line) for Xanadu Galleries of Scottsdale, Arizona.  She does commissioned energy portraits for people and/or their environments.

Selected work for her poetry collection, Today I Celebrate® was juried into the Purple Pens Anthology and she won an international award through Sybil magazine for this work.
