Art Vargas, vocalist, grew up in Detroit, Michigan with its musical history influencing him as a young performer where he developed a passion for nostalgia, emulating singers of the ’50s and ’60s.  He was performing by the age of eighteen and through nightclub, television, and radio performances he further developed and refined his craft. He was often compared to Bobby Darin, which lead him to be picked to portray Darin in the award-winning Las Vegas production show “Legends in Concert.”

Following this, Art formed his own ensemble, “The Swank Set” and began performing a variety of jazz, R&B and Rock n Roll.  He includes interpretations of swingin’ standards paying homage to vintage Vegas and the stars of the golden era of song.  As a group, they have appeared in every major hotel on the Las Vegas strip.  His debut CD, “You Perfect Stranger” showcased his veteran Vegas song man and mentor, Mike Corda, who penned the title track.

Currently, Art continues his more than 25 year career performing both his Vintage Vegas Revue and celebrated Darin tribute. He has earned the distinction of being named Best Performer by Vegas press, The Las Vegas Review Journal, and Las Vegas Life magazine. Dick Clark regaled him as an “exciting performer;” Variety called him a “finger-snapping, smooth entertainer;” and the LA Times states “Vargas is vintage Vegas through and through.”
