The Forgotten Song Foundation hosted yet another great event on Saturday, April 22 and showcased art and jazz music to celebrate International Jazz Month.
The event was held at the Gallery of Art and Music in the beautiful Forum Shops at Caesars Palace on the Strip in Las Vegas. In collaboration with Forgotten Song the Las Vegas Jazz Society participated in the tribute to Monk Montgomery. The overall session was in honor of Monk Montgomery who was the founder of the Las Vegas Jazz Society which was founded in 1975. The popular artists Jerry Blank featured a painting he recently created on behalf of Monk and it will stay on display at the gallery until some lucky art lover purchases it.
Woody Woods performed on keyboard and had our founder Ann Parenti and Maggie Mancuso from the Jazz Society do a few songs with him. The Monk Montgomery Trio finished off our wonderful afternoon.
Food, wine and raffles were part of the show and the Foundation as with the Las Vegas Jazz Society was happy to welcome a lot of friends and supporters.
