The First Annual VIVA Awards were an elegant evening of music, art, fashion, hors d’oeuvres and wine… honoring Patrick Gaffey and Jan Craddock. The evening began by showcasing the art of many local artists, while listening to a jazz trio. During the evening, fashions of David Tupaz Couture were featured on models that strolled through the venue in vintage style cocktail apparel. Then as guests strolled into the gallery, they were able to view additional artist’s work on display all the while enjoying wine graciously donated by Barefoot Wine & Bubbly and dining on delectable appetizers. After the art preview, guests enjoyed the sounds of a 16 piece big band, featuring Toshca Comeaux and Gary Fowler. The emcee for the evening was the fabulous Clint Holmes. The event was a collaboration of Forgotten Song Foundation, Inc. and American Jazz Initiative both 501c3 nonprofit organizations. Proceeds from the event will help raise awareness of big band music in Las Vegas for the AJI foundation and raise scholarship funds for FSF.
