He worked as an artist and illustrator, compiling an impressive client list:  Coke, Pepsi, Franklin Mint, Cacharel, British Airways, British Telecom, Air France, Calvin Klein, Levi Strauss, and Ferrari, to name a few. His work has granted him the opportunity to travel extensively worldwide, being commissioned for various art projects.  Ruel has a diversified range of work, but has a passion for jazz and black art.   He is widely recognized for his celebrity art with the Clintons being the proud owner of a painting of Hillary.

Ruel is also an accomplished sculptor concentrating on and producing his realistic figurative sculptures for the past 15 years in many locations in Las Vegas.  If you ever visit the Palazzo on the Strip, venture outside onto the north side facing the Wynn and look upward.  There you will see three beautiful angels on the building, sculpted and created by Ruel.
