GUY AMATO, guitarist, studied at the State University of New York at Cortland.  His early influences include Wes Montgomery and BB King.  He is a native of New York City and life-long band player in that area notably with harmonica player Felix Cabrera and singer/song writer Leslie Chase.

In 2005, Guy appeared at the Monterey Blues Festival.  In 2012, Guy founded NRQ (New Rhythm Quartet), which is a contemporary jazz & blues group based in Las Vegas. The band is composed of four experienced musicians and featured vocalist with backgrounds in multiple genres, including blues, jazz, rock, fusion, R&B, and gospel – it is considered a Jazz Funk/Fusion band.  Among the band’s core influences are Fourplay, the Jazz Crusaders, Deodato, Chick Corea, Lee Ritenour, and Herbie Hancock.

Guy lives in Las Vegas where he has worked with Moody Scott and the Diane Kallay Band.  He is currently developing original material and, as founder, appearing with the New Rhythm Quartet.
