KEN SEIFFERT, bassist, began his life as a musician on the accordion. It wasn’t until at age 15 a bass was brought into his home for his brother that he taught himself how to play the instrument which would lead to a distinguished career of more than 50 years.
After four years as the original bass player with The Mike Douglas Show, Ken toured with the Joe Bushkin Trio in 1966. Eventually landing in Hawaii, Ken performed with Don Ho for five years. In 1974, Ken moved to Las Vegas and has been playing in showrooms on The Las Vegas Strip ever since, as well as some Broadway shows playing in Las Vegas.
In addition to performing with Don Menza at the Riviera Monday Night Jazz for six years, Ken has also performed with the Nevada Jazz Orchestra for fifteen. Over the years, Ken has played with countless jazz greats. As a touring musician, Ken played with Vic Damone from 1996-2001 and then for the last ten years of Mickey Rooney’s career from 2001-2010.
