Since 1998, NATHAN TANOUYE has been Principal Trombonist in the Las Vegas Philharmonic and has performed with many artists and shows on the Las Vegas Strip.  Beginning in 2005, Nathan performed and recorded with Las Vegas’ premier horn band, Santa Fe & the Fat City Horns, a 15-piece band for which he also writes and arranges.

As a composer and arranger, Nathan has written for a wide array of ensembles in a wide range of styles, from wind ensemble to flute and harp duo. He also writes for and directs the Las Vegas Jazz Connection, the 34-piece jazz orchestra produced by Carolyn Freeman, who recently released their 3rd CD on the Peacock label entitled “Eleven.”

Currently, Nathan is music director, composer, and arranger for the Las Vegas Jazz Connection, a 34-piece jazz orchestra originally put together by him and Carolyn Freeman to feature the music of pianist Russ Freeman.  They just released their third CD, entitled “11.”
