TANJA NIKOLIC NOBERT was born in Belgrade, Serbia. Her family heritage is from Montenegro off the Adriatic Coast. She immigrated to the United States from Paris and was raised and educated in Ohio, ultimately attending the prestigious Columbus College of Art & Design. Tanja’s exploratory passion for art began early in her childhood and has continued to develop throughout her life. Over the years, her family culture, return sojourns to various European cities and villages, and her Las Vegas home base have influenced Tanja’s eye and helped shape her brush.
Tanja’s primary choice of mediums (traditional oil paint) and a strong sense of color and design could be classified as Modern-Impressionist and Modern Representational, reminiscent of Cezanne and Gauguin. Tanja expresses herself in myriad ways: painting, modern portraits, design, illustration, costume design and she’s worked extensively with kids to develop their artistic passions.
Tanja Nikolic has worked with both large commercial and private ventures since the late 80’s. She has shown in many solo exhibitions and group shows. Her art has garnered many awards and is collected internationally. Inspiration, often by her two wonderful spirited children, Noah and Ava, comes in many forms, and Tanja is open to them all.
