VINNIE FALCONE, pianist/musical director/conductor began studying classical piano at the age of three. After extensive traveling throughout Europe with various jazz groups, he returned to the United States in 1964. For 10 years, Vinnie was musical director and pianist for Pia Zadora and he, along with Robert Farnon, the acclaimed British composer/arranger, recorded three albums featuring Pia Zadora with the London Philharmonic, and Royal Philharmonic orchestras, and one album recorded in Los Angeles, with the brilliant arranger Sammy Nestico.
In 2005, Vinnie published his first book “Frankly-Just Between Us,” telling his many experiences with Frank Sinatra and many of the other artists with whom he has worked.
I met Mr. Falcone in 1998 in Las Vegas at a Frankie Randall show. Both men were very friendly and even signed the Cds that Randall was selling. We spoke of his time with Frank Sinatra and the concert of the americas. He was a great pianist and I was sorry to hear if his passing. I still read his book.
